The peeps behind the show...
Sarah Albritton (Creator/Producer/Writer/Performer) - On stage, Sarah Albritton is a ball of comedic energy. Off stage, she needs medicine to stay awake. Described by the Chicago Tribune as "vulnerable and honest", Sarah's stand-up combines observational humor and personal stories with her unique perspective on living with narcolepsy. Performing and writing with Secrets, Lies & Alibis has given her a chance to live out her childhood dream of reading other people's secrets. When she isn't sleeping, she performs stand-up, solo and sketch comedy throughout the city of Chicago. Before venturing into the world of comedy, Sarah got her start performing serious theater and was a graduate of NIU School of Theater and Dance and British American Drama Academy. Since moving to Chicago, she's completed iO training program, Second City Conservatory and taken too many writing workshops to name here. She is survived by her rescue dog, Happy, who keeps her sane...most of the time.
Amanda Lynn Deal (Co-Producer/Writer/Performer) - West Coast born and raised, Amanda Lynn Deal moved to Chicago in 2012 to try her hand in sketch and improv. She graduated from Second City's improv training program in 2013. Using that experience, she has helped put on numerous independent sketch shows throughout the city and suburbs with her group, The Chuck-Charlies. She was also a co-creator and host for a weekly hybrid showcase and open-mic called Silly Goose. She is currently one of the Producer's for Ego Trip Club, a monthly themed comedy show, as well as a writer, performer, and producer for Secrets, Lies, and Alibis. Between producing, hosting, and sketch, Amanda continues to pursue her passion for stand-up comedy as often as possible, where ever possible
Elliot Lerner (Co-Producer/Writer/Performer) - Elliot Lerner is a comedian/writer/actor living in Chicago. Raised in North Carolina to Sconnie parents, he combines Midwestern values and Southern gentility with worldly neurosis. Prior to stand-up, he was a member of the Lilting Banshees Comedy Troupe. On stage, Elliot blends charm and physicality to create disarming and energetic performances. He has performed with Dan Ahdoot, Eric O'Shea, Thomas Kozak and The Poets, and many other talented comedians and artists. Thanks.
Alex Seligsohn (Co-Producer/Writer/Performer) - In the past couple of years, Alex has been extremely active in the Chicago comedy scene and beyond. In addition to co-producing SLA, Alex performs stand-up at several venues and events, including (but not limited to): the Chicago Nerd Comedy Festival, Arch City Comedy Festival, the Fort Lauderdale Improv, Zanies, etc. She is also a recent graduate of the Second City Conservatory, and her final performance included a song that she wrote about the JFK assassination. She is also an actress, and made her television debut in a local Dental Salon commercial, and will make her feature film debut in the upcoming indie feature Anne and Andy. Alex enjoys playing with her Shiba Inu, watching Jeopardy, and attending Trapped in the Closet sing-alongs.
